need to sell the Elise - What car ?

Need to sell the elise as I am stepping my first foot on the housing ladder and the cash would come in handy for the deposit 
I reckon I will be able to splurge about 2K on my next car but can't deciede what to go for. My main criteria is it must have some va,va,vroom to it, be able to handle and be as much fun to drive as the elise. I would prefer to go for 4 doors this time round but could maybe do another 2dr, though NOT A BLOODY MX5! Car also has to be cheapish to run so no big V12 XJ12s or some big yank tank (though would be fun). RWD or AWD would float my boat more than a FWD hot hatch. The oldish civic type-R is up there on my wish list though so I won't discount anything interesting.

Still need a deposit no matter how you look at it.What is the 200sx like? Will it be cheap to run? Seem to go in the price range that I am looking at. Tempted by a shedish scooby though think this will be a money pit.
