Unmarked police car with a cheeky private plate

There was some sort of RTA last week up near Warwick nr the M40.

Traffic was being diverted and I noticed one of the cars on the other side of the police tape was a black Golf R32 with the blue strobes flashing behind the grill, with the number plate:

R22 BAN.

My thoughts exactly.

But I can't think of any other explanation.

And R32 BAN is on a Jag, so it's not that either.

Hmmm, I've obviously not got the first bit right then.

It was the BAN bit I remember as I thought how ironic it would be to be pulled over doing many leptons by that...

Now that is a good shout. It could well be that. the road was closed and medical/fire were also on the scene so that could well be it.

I presume doctors can drive what they like some must have the blues and twos installed.

O/T but was this on the A46 mid last week by any chance? I was caught up in the queue being diverted off at Warwick after they closed the road.

Must have been a bad one.
