The Audi TT Diesel
Discussion
For me, the key factor of a performance car is the engine. This is what differentiates sporty cars from the more ordinary stuff.
So what is the point of a TT diesel?
Would it not make more sense to have the same engine in a more practical Golf/Leon/Octavia/Passat/Exeo alternative?
Someone please explain the appeal of the TT diesel to me.

Since when was the TT a 'performance car'? So what is the point of a TT diesel?
I always thought it was the trendy Golf/A3/Leon/Octavia model that had swoopy bodywork and no back doors. Or am I missing something?
I'm bored of my own thread.
I posed a question late on a Friday when I'd has a few beers, a few PHers replied and consensus was reached halfway down page two!
I can certainly now see the point(s) of the TT diesel, originally I was approaching it from the wrong ideological perspective.
I've since had a paradigm shift and all is well.
Happy days.
