Dodgy way of buying a car?

My sister-in-law is buying a car tomorrow from a dealer and this is on their website:

'We are currently accepting payments made through Telegraphic Transfer, Cashier’s cheque or cash up to £8000'


Is that dodgy or does it seem normal?
