Who else is with me?

I'm at university, so spend about half the year carless and move about by bike. When I do come home, driving again's obviously pretty high on the list of priorities - but what I've realised is that enjoy driving around town as much as I do a country blast - admittedly this may slightly be due to the typical 1.1 econobox, and I don't mean driving in gridlock, but when in town medium-low levels of traffic are actually pretty entertaining. More cerebral perhaps, as you're planning your next move rather than wrestling with physics, with is instinctive. Anyway, who else thinks negotiating 4 roundabouts a mile and arbitrary extra lanes fun?

I don't love it, but it can be satisfying
point, 'satisfying' is a better way of describing it. A nice series of mini-roundabouts where you can see in advance no one's going to make you stop I would describe as fun though. And nope I've never driven the kirkstone pass, more's the pity (although I do have some nice country roads nearby, almost always deserted as well). As for the admiration, well, what can I say... a stock base model clio does give me more tail than I know what to do with hehe

you haven't driven around brecon beacons on a quiet saturday/sunday morning have you hehe
ivinghoe beacon... I've done a few scenic routes but that doesn't actually do much for me as it's a choice of 'enjoy the scenery' or 'enjoy the drive', attempting to both results in rather too close an 'enjoyment' of the scenery for me! (where's a :crash: smiley when you need one?).

One more thing that's fun about town driving: threading through emtpy rat runs. Makes the journey feel more dramatic, and you feel like a cabbie smile
