Been looking at swapping up the Suzuki for a while - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2670778.htm

Just started a new job and the commute is further and so I'm looking for something that will cope better with the extra distance etc.

Someone in my new works car park has a YRV. I've heard of them before but never really thought much about them. Quite liked the look of it and looked to be a good size for what I need.

Decided to do a bit of research at home and came across the YRV Turbo! Never seen or heard of one of these in my life and I can't understand why!?

1.3 16v Turbo pushing 130hp in a car that weighs just under 1000kg! Auto only but with steering wheel controls. 0-60 in 8 seconds but still returns 40mgp!

Am I missing something or did these just seem to pass everyone by? Anyone any experience of one?

I really want one! (That or a Suzuki Ignis Sport). Normal YRVs can be had from as little as £1000 in the standard 1.3 16v form. Turbos seem to be around the 3k mark though. Hmmmm

I've heard of them, IIRC they were ridiculed for being crap but I have no idea where I read that!
Some of the reviews I've read (that actually mention the turbo in detail) seem to think it's main rival was the Saxo VTS. Most just say that the interior quality isn't great and that the ride isn't that great.

Here's the PH article when it came out http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=57&...
Not really helpful, just everyone moaning about it being ugly, which is down to personal taste anyway.
