My OPC has a habit of charging me an additional £144 for "On the road fee", which is neither the first year registration, nor is it the VED.

Anyone else's OPC try this? They attempted to charge me this before on a previous Porsche, to which I refused to pay and it subsequently vanished from the invoice..

New cars from every manufacturer have had an 'on the road fee' added to the list price for 15 years at least.

The fee is usually to cover the delivery to dealer, the fee for first registering the car (separate to VED) and number plates.
I can sort of appreciate this, except -

Delivery to dealer? Surely that's inclusive of the price of the car, how else is the vehicle to get there?
first reg is itemised separately (£55)
Numberplates - i'll be providing my own..
