Jumped in the car for the first time in a while (wife uses it as
‘her car’ and air con playing up.

Initially, seemed to default to 22C and pump, out warm air but is now behaving and staying on (eg) 18C but no cooled air coming out. It now feels like no aircon or cooling capacity? Have played with it and various permutations of buttons/settings to no avail...

It’s a 996 C4 Cab from late ‘03 so ab ‘04 model I believe.

Any ideas people? Is there even a separate fuse worth trying? A Regas?

Ps - the Mrs has no idea when it stopped working!!!

Thanks both
Will try a regas as it seems (from reading elsewhere) that would identify leaks at minimal cost and effort. Then back to Northway if required.....

Places like kwikfit don't charge for re gas if doesn't fix it, so nothing to loose (part from about 30minutes),trying this first. My 996 they re gassed (no leeks), but still doesn't work as compressor not engaging, so no charge but no nearer to finding solution, and all the aircon specialist are too busy to look at it due to weather.
This is a mirror of my Saturday morning- system took gas but pressure was OK apparently. No obviously leaks but no engine note change when switched on and no cooling whatsoever. So I am guessing Compressor and not rad thingys….
