Just got back from an awesome tour of the Dolomites.

Some amazing roads, incredible scenery and outstanding cars. Loved every second.

Now back in the office and having a huge come down, so thought I'd share some pics on here!

And a little video of the Manghen Pass:

IIRC correctly Porsche built a limited number of Lava 911 R's...not PTS but a batch of cars other then the normal white or silver. Don't think I've seen a pic of one in Guards!
Correct.

They built a batch of “Sonderfarbe” cars. The special colours were Lava Orange, black and yellow.

Of the Sonderfarbe cars, 12 were built in Lava Orange, only two of those were RHD. The second one is in Japan and doesn’t have the lightened flywheel.

AFAIK, mine is the only orange one with white stripes from the factory and it’s the only U.K. car that wasn’t silver or white from the factory.

Top of the Timmeljoch, Italy.

They’ve resurfaced it and it’s awesome!

Great looking car, fan of Starsky & Hutch by any chance...???

Any more pictures of the car in situ? Stunning area and roads from the look of it. How long did it take to get down and any particular route you’d recommend?
I’ll post some more pics soon. We had the cars taken to Lake Garda by truck. Just a much quicker way of getting them down there and pretty comparable on price.
