So October gone November gone December nearly gone, no news, bugger all, silence so what’s the score, anyone know or just more guesswork
The standard GT3 and GT2 RS has left the Porsche UK configurator however the GT3 RS is still there..Waiting to see if/when a second batch of RSs coming to the UK is the only subject which bores me more than Brexit.( 718 GT4 close second)Last i heard that if any more RSs get here it won't be until around August time..By then i'll have spent the money on a Ferrari/Lambo/Macca of sorts and the RS will be even further from my mind..
Macca not sure that's a good idea? Lambo Performante quite special
Should we start a separate topic along the lines of what it might be like to buy European vehicles in the case of a no deal Brexit

August deliveries for a car that's now been superseded by the 992? Really?
The fact it's still on the configurator does seem positive, but I'm struggling to see how we'll get any more UK cars.

My theory is what may look like GT3RS build slots in the Porsche system are actually Speedster slots, which would make more sense to me than a re-run of an old 991.2 model.
I just don't see what Porsche has to gain by producing a small number of UK only GT3RSs now that the 992 is out.
The Speedster is also a 991 GT3 chassis at heart I believe so they would still be producing old alongside new!I just don't see what Porsche has to gain by producing a small number of UK only GT3RSs now that the 992 is out.

As it will be the same engine IMO once done its all there in the same format for the 992,its got to be done for the 992 so why not R&D it on the 991,it cant be that hard for an automotive engineering company, its also going to be done for Speedster which is almost the same. I would guess that they publish the data and self certificate,I cant see a government official turning up to test each new model or model change. cormeist said:
What the latest on the second batch then? Come on all the usual suspects that seem to think they know more than the OPC’s and us guys that buy a fair few
Nowt I can tell anyone,I’m just a patient waiter in the wings The only thing my dealer can tell me with accuracy is their opening hours

In other news..... im looking forward to my 992 C4s arriving early April to sit alongside my .2 GT3RS
Is that rubbing it in? i'll get my coat. On a serious level, P are really hanging the second batch out, a few guys that passed on the first batch are stressing out, glad i pulled the trigger on a first batch car, this wait would send me over the edge!!
Pleas do NOT use the term “this would send me over the edge” as it makes me feel physically SICK Is that rubbing it in? i'll get my coat. I believe that the Petrol Particulate Filter will add 18-20Kgms probably where you don't want it. I wonder if that will necessitate a rear suspension upgrade.
Makes sense as there is two of them, one for each bank. The difference between the GPFs in a NA GT3 RS or GT4 is there are no Turbos..In the 992s the GPFs are incorporated in the existing Catalytic converter and situated right by the Turbos which emit glowing heat which burns off the soot particulates caught in the GPF. For obvious reasons this can't be duplicated in an RS, coupled with tunable Turbos which collectively have caused significant engineering problems in getting the GPF to work on highly tuned NA engines.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
