Just curious though does anyone know how many of the above have been sold and registered in the UK? I understand that Porsche are a little reluctant to do so.

Should there be another batch in May or June the car will have to be fitted with a Petrol Particulate Filter which means that Porsche will have had to up the engines power output to offset the power loss from said filter. Of course the other more important factor is the car will lose a chunk of that glorious sound. Also there is a qustion of there being sufficient space. I appreciate the the Wizards at the factory have a knack of getting around these things though for a short UK only run will it be worth the hassle for them?

Sure there will be a number of after market places where the filter can just be removed and re-mapped.
Then wave goodbye to the Warranty!!!!!!

Congratulations Rob - I see you guys have taken the plunge. How many miles did you knock up on the GT3?
Hi Giles 9,500 to answer your question. Totally loved that car. As the miles racked up the engine just got better and better. If anyone is looking for a Miami Blue Gen 2 GT3 that in my opinion is properly specced, fully PPf'd by Topaz therefore it is unmarked so I can highly recommend it. It is currently residing at OPC Chester. Ask for Andrew in sales he is a pleasant and efficient guy to deal with.

Has anyone heard what’s happening to the second allocations of GT3RS cars???
Strong rumours abound of a second batch to be produced May Or June though not confirmed. My thoughts are that by that time production of the 992 will be in full swing. Whilst I appreciate Porsche's ability to mix models up as they come down the production line surely producing a 991, a totally different model would present problems. I think we are agreed total production of the Gen 2 GT3RS is about 130 units so that would raise another question. Would the factory produce a 100 and odd cars for the UK which would require a Petrol Particulate Filter to be developed specifically for that engine. If so it would add 15 Kilos to the back end, stifle the performance by 20 or so BHP and of course reduce the glorious sound the engine makes. So unless the Weissach was specfied to offset the weight gain and the engine tweaked to regain the lost horse power the car would be slightly less of a vehicle than the current Gen 2RS

Porsche obviously have the ability to do as they wish and will do so. I will of course be proved totally wrong, time of course will confirm that.
