Hi all I'm new to the site thank you for your much appreciated posts / experiences on the forum.
So I put my 911 (2004) 58446 miles currently does 5000 miles a year in full service this week it came back with some advisories

Exhaust system heavily corroded blowing in multiple places and clamps rotten spilt.

4x flexi calliper solid brake pipes need replacing (I did ask for a oil change as it will become part of the U.K. Mot test in May).but in all fairness to him this would of been a complete waste of money.
I have been quoted approx £2,000 full replacement with a miltec exhaust system and the brake pipe replacement including brake fluid change. I'm more than happy to pay this but I decided to get a second quote.
Firstly I was told that the car would pass the mot due in March and that I my get an advisory on the worn / split clips and small crack on split sleeve.

I was told there was nothing wrong with my brakes.

My question is is there a part that I can purchase that I can have fitted to repair the split form blowing and new clamps (flexi pipes) ?? Also after looking under my car and researching this site will I have to have the back of my car taken off for such a small job ??? It was suggested that I get someone to make one but I won't a good job done. I'm planning on putting my car through the mot for the brakes and I'll see how that goes.
Just don't wanna be took for a mug because I'm a lady with a nice car !!!
I would appreciate any advise.
Thank you

Thank you for your replies I’m in the West Midlands. I’ve had the quote for the exhaust which had now gone up to £4,000 ... I have found it difficult to find a garage who just put a Porsche sigh up but don’t have a clue I payed for a new air filter on my minor to find out mine has a Motorsport reusable filer I will update you once i put it through its mot.

Hi all just an update I found a Porsche shop that I had used in the past which I thought had closed but had moved. Mark at the Porsche shop then in Halesowen now in hartleybury worcesrshire trading estate diagnosed a cylinder fault on my car when I first brought it and had to have the engine rebuild. After the advise on here and my own research I wasn't going to be taken for a mug I asked him to clean up and grease my brake pipes he then whilst waiting replaced the broken exhaust clip but I asked him to do both. So my car is ready for the MOT which its never failed at a cost of £77. Just goes to show that people are willing to rip you off for the car that I drive. I was qouted for a full exhausted at £4,000 and brakes at £550 I won't be using PRO 9 again for any work. Thanks Mark and the team I know we're to bring my car next time.
