Hi Guys,

I have a Speedster coming around August and a 3RS WP coming in July. I wanted to ask if any of you know if the incoming 991 UK cars have the Particle Filter or of that is just the 992s?

I really appreciate the help as I want to buy a full exhaust system but it likely won’t be compatible on cars with the PF.

Thank you

Here are some renders of my incoming 3RS

You have a Speedster coming in 4 months when nobody has seen the production version? Of course you do.
AndrewD,

The need for sarcasm and implying I am lying is, frankly, pathetic.

UK Dealers have now been informed of how many cars they are getting, when configurations can commence and when first orders will be produced.

Thanks for being a jerk.

No-one seems to know. My OPC SA didn't when I asked out of curiosity. However, as a large scale manufacturer I don't think Porsche have any way to avoid fitting them.

There was a post on here about the second batch GT3RS saying that they hadn't actually got through the WLTP testing with the GPF yet. Where that leaves the current orders, who knows?
Thank you Twinfan for sharing your info.

No problem. I speculated that the current GT3RS orders could possibly be the last available build slots for 991 models, but if they don't get through the WLTP with GPFs fitted in a way that Porsche are happy with they may not appear. Pure guesswork from me though, based on my guess that they won't want them to have less BHP and worse MPG than the first non-GPF batch.

There's a rumour that the Speedster (and 718 GT4) may appear at the New York Auto Show in a couple of weeks which may tell us more about how the GPF affects the GT3 engine.
So are you 100% sure they are coming with Particle Filter, if they come?

I'm no expert, nor do I have any Porsche info, but based on the EU rules for new cars I can only see them arriving with a GPF. In my opinion, if there was a way they could have been delivered without them they would have arrived long before now.

The fact there's no definitive information either way on their spec would appear to support the information in another thread that they will have a GPF and that the testing has not been finalised yet. It would also explain why the Speedster has not yet appeared either.
That does make sense. I can only assume they have to find a solution for the Speedster and therefore it is highly likely it will also be applied in the 3RS

I agree that this is probably the case but why offer cars to people with a risk they’ll never arrive? Maybe they have just chucked a few out there with the latest possible production dates in the hope they can deliver them?
I would be really shocked if Porsche did something this unprofessional. To get their best customers excited and then disappoint them for the sake of making only a few more cars is a very bad idea.

Someone would lose their job for this in my organisation, unless it was stated at the time of the build locking that there was an issue with GBF and this was only a potential build.

I have asked my dealer this question and should have an answer later today.

Right now its anybody's guess..I've just configured your RS using Porsche's international configurater even including the WP..However no Mag wheel option on it which i suspect was the same as on your OPC's computer..It still states that there's an impeding update to economy/emissions which i suspect relates to after passing the WLTP test.
I specced my car with WP, Mag Wheels and PTS

Nothing to do with what I do or don’t want.

Does anybody else have a confirmed allocation, with a delivery timescale, for a car that nobody has yet seen in final form and where none of the people I know who would normally be getting one have yet been told?
Maybe wink
Possibly wink
Well AndrewD... I know what D stands for... what a jerk.

Forget that where’s BrntRubber???
I am hiding because my lies have been discovered hahaha driving

I haven’t pulled the trigger on a CGT as I am hoping to snipe one when the economy worsens and I have had the opportunity to enjoy the Speedster and see what chords she strikes in my heart.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying the 3RS (no wp as wasn’t available), 2RS and Touring. I preferred the 3RS and Touring over the 2RS.

Still daydreaming I expect, or out doing 4x4 response with some other walts.

AndrewD might well be a bit entitled in some of his posts but at least he really does have the cars.
Guys,
Why would I start a thread like this and include a render of my final 3RS build, which I paid someone to produce over many iterations.

If you guys want to think I am some loser behind a keyboard with nothing better to do then waste my time then that’s fine.

I genuinely asked for GPF info so i could order a full exhaust and in turn I tried to share the info I have to help the community.

I should need to prove myself... Here is one girl having her bath.

Quite a few silly posts, I suspect envious of your car collection, but I suppose this what you get on these forums more often than not... I’m also really interested in GPF news... i’m more inclined to take notice of Apollo and Footsoldier posts that suggest no GPF.. but let’s see what Porsche do, hopefully a good surprise to have no GPF... However if a GPF is fitted, it may help pass noise limits... every cloud !
Thanks NoPDK and I agree with you.

If there is a GPF I hope it can be removed and an exhaust system fitted without the need of a remap/flash.

Ok, Juno
And what about the bubble bath? Anyway, I see where this is headed.

Would you like pics of others renders I had made? Voodoo blue with dual center stripes? Carbon Steel Metallic? You also clearly don’t understand why people have renders made. It is to look at different combinations of design elements and not just exterior colour. Aside from many different colours including multiple shades of metallic and flat dark greys, renders helped with designing/choosing:
- standard wheels vs mag wheels
- mag wheels in aurum vs white gold
- Steel or pccb
- headlight trim
- racing stripes
- side decals
- wing decals
- belt colour and stitching
- RS 4.0 on the side blade of rear wing

Renders help get a spec to the exact look you want and in my opinion is a well worth while expense, even if it is “a job a 5 year old could do”. I certainly can’t do it and I would wager you couldn’t either.

Anyway, maybe you should give a guy the benefit of the doubt... can we now please just stick to the topic and be civil and respectful of one another.

Genius what have you ordered Blue looks st IMO
Barry,

I should be addressing you as Moron considering your insulting last post.

I didn’t order blue, that’s why I had the renders made and why it isn’t the pic in my first post. I went with a colour that compliments the CF and has Porsche heritage, Grey Black.

Now please stop being a keyboard warrior and making sarcastic insults, you picked the wrong person. Let’s be respectful from here on out.

Some complete loser on 911uk did this to me when I was ordering a new car. Proper clique of snowflakes calling me out and insinuating I had not ordered a new 911. I posted the order form with my name and address covered. I shouldn't have. It was puerile but very amusing and I never hear a peep out of the clique now hehe

Its jealousy in the main IMO. Lots of it on these forums. When your Speedster, GT2 RS, GT3 RS etc arrive if someone calls you out just stick a can of custard with their name on it on the car wink
Thank you DD... unbelievable some people act this way.

Thread deteriorated a little since yesterday afternoon.

I have no info on the filter, but as others have said if it is the rule and given how long cars seem to be delayed - it at least looks like they might need to install one and it is not straightforward.

I remember when you asked about the black CGT - I still can’t afford one, but as every car nut still regularly look at the classifieds. I think the Stuttgart car is still listed (might be worthwhile to put in a low bid). I agree they might come down again eventually (as will most other collectible but not really rare cars imo) - if I could I still would though
Thank you MDL.

The CGT is still my unicorn. I will take a look at the Stuttgart car but the indicative price I have been given no the Speedster is eye watering to say the least (double the touring optioned), making it out of reach for the time being.

I too like to see what’s out there and keep my finger on the pulse.

Can you make your mind up about the Speedster, after being the Worlds first to order one are you now saying as it’s double the price of a Touring it’s now financially out of reach at the moment?

AND

If a £240k Speedster is out of your range then how is a £700k CGT within it?

In the meantime here is some real BrntRubber

You are a pathetic, pathetic man.

I never said the Speedster was financially out of reach, the same was a 2RS wasn’t.

Anyway, I will let you get back to your Japanese rice and I will not engage with you beyond this point.
