991.2 GT3 sell now or keep dilemma
Discussion
Morning chaps,
I have had my miami blue manual GT3 since April and ive done 6000 miles. I paid £156k from Porsche, its fully loaded and top spec.
I have been offered £145k for it which is a pretty good offer but I will still lose £11k. Do I take it or put the car away over the winter and use it next year? I am thinking about the depreciation etc whilst its just sat in my garage. I will want another car similar or the same as this next spring which is another factor to consider.
I know the market is suffering at the moment but do we think it will recover again after Brexit and in the spring of next year?
If I sold it I would buy a Mini JCW challenge race car and test it this winter and look to race next year with on the BTCC program.
I know it always comes down to personal circumstances but I am really struggling with the decision!
Cheers
Oli

Good Morning, I would hold onto your Porche, I have a friend who had a JCW mini, no where near as good as your Porche, if you sell it you will regret it in the spring. Dont worry about the money, its only money

Hi Michael,Michael
It is the race car I am thinking of buying not the road car....

If you are selling to go racing - go racing. Nothing compares. It's addictive.
It's also expensive. Be warned.
That is my current thinking! Ive done a season racing the Radical SR3 so I know all about costs. I just cant justify having a race car and an awesome road car (to the mrs) lolIt's also expensive. Be warned.
