I doubt I’ll ever track my Touring. So, I want the best road tyre, and I’m happy to sacrifice some performance in exchange for more grip in the wet/cold. Would the PS4S be a better option than it’s current Cup 2’s? If so, will swapping them affect the manufacturer’s warranty?

Thanks all. I’m going to get them swapped out.

Are these the tyres you are taking about?

Couldn’t agree more - whether they’re fitted to a GT3 or a Golf TCR, I find the latest iteration of the Michelin cup superb. Even when it’s wet and cold, it’s astonishing how much grip and traction they can find.
That might be true. But the PS4S should find more grip in the wet/cold. And from what I’ve read, there will be minimal trade off when compared to the Cup 2’s for road use. So, it makes sense to me to spend £1k on tyres that give me more confidence in the wet/cold. Plus, I’m familiar with the performance of the PS4S’s as I have those on my GTS.
