Should be a good indication between trade and retail at the very least.

where is the 3 year gap?

i see that the last major was overdue by 1 year - with there being 3k miles between services most reasonable folks would take a slightly more global view on the total package and compare it to other available cars

its not being advertised as concours and i expect it will sit favourably compared to others out there being sold privately inc the lovely bucket seat comfort red one with gold wheels and decals for 80k

i dont see it selling for much less than a good to average similar car being sold privately and i see it fetching more than trade money

the vendor really does seem like a good bloke...

he posted this today

Hi – further to conversation today with one of the interested parties, please find below a bit more detail that might be useful:

- Brakes. These were all replaced by OPC Guildford in 2016 at a total cost of £3,486. This was everything to do with replacing discs and pads along with new wheel bolts, damping plates, warning contacts etc.
- Minor Service at OPC Guildford in 2017 at a total cost of £3,302. This included the minor service (£479), MOT (£54), New Wiper Blades (£25), 4 x New Tyres and valves (£990), Brake Fluid Change (£125) and the air conditioning fixed to include new condenser and other ancillaries (£1,110)
- Major Service at Hawthorns in June 2020 at £791. Reason I did not use OPC Guildford was purely because they could not get me in for 4 weeks due to restrictions post lockdown and I was keen to get this done before the car went live on CC. Hawthorns (The TT Garage, Farnham) are a very well respected local service centre who see a lot of 911’s and similar vehicles and I’ve used and trust them for several years now. All parts used in the service are genuine Porsche parts and the invoice shows all parts codes to confirm.
- ‘POW’ number plate. Whilst the listing states this is not included, I am very happy to include this if required. It’s not an expensive plate, I just have a few ‘POW’ registrations that I quite like!
- 3 year service ‘gap’ between 2017 and 2020. I only covered 2,700 miles in the period as the car was in storage for over 18 months with Jordans Car Storage in Cranleigh in that time whilst we undertook building work at home. I did an oil change myself when I took it out of storage again and also changed the starter motor that had become a bit ‘sticky’, but as I could not find the receipts for those items did not note them in the original listing.

Any other questions please list or contact the CC team to be put in touch.

So thats that then - a decent cs for change out of 70k

well i think great deal for the buyer and i expect the seller feels like he should have gotten more

so does this mean the top of the market is less than 80k at opc for a near perfect example with dream spec and sub 30k miles

yep noticed that too

whats even more odd is that i renewed my insurance this week and the agreed val is a bit different to where these things now seem to be settling

amazing how brave a keyboard can make a man. i wont write stuff here that i wouldnt be happy to say to someone's face. not sure the same can be said for some of the more prolific posters on this thread.

and as has been said already. the cs car will now set a precedent that i am almost sure will somehow feed into the market. it will give dealers something to chew over when they set their buyers' budgets for 997.1 gt3's
