Hi there, I’ve just booked my GT3 in for its first major service and my OPC is wanting to charge £2281 inc VAT for this; seems like a crazy cost to me ? Can anyone confirm what they’ve paid for this service elsewhere ?

I will obviously ring round some other OPC’s / Good indy’s, but wanted to have some back up info before doing this.

Thanks in advance smile

Yep, going through this at the moment. I was astonished when I was quoted £2626 as 2 years ago it was under £2k for the 4yr service. So a 30% increase in 2 years! However, I've got another quote for £2154 and given my OPC the chance to match it. I think they were taking the piss actually as this is my third car this summer to be serviced there after 24 years of loyalty. Let's see what they come back with.
Interesting was the £2,154 from an OPC ? Thanks

I have since been advised there's an issue with the OPC quoting system. If they work the price out manually it's correct, however if they press the total button its wrong!! Make of that what you will.

Anyway they're matching the price for me!
Surprise surprise - such billsh*t.

In the days when there was a fixed price for Participating Centres (to 31.12.19) the 4 year service was £1,395 including brake fluid and plugs.
This definitely rings a bell on my 991.2 GT3. So even at £2,100 that’s a 50% increase - how they can charge £k2 for a days work is beyond me. I wonder what a good Indy would charge - will find out.

For the extended warranty I believe you have to use OPC servicing.
Correct - Indy service cost virtually 1/2 that of OPC, but OPC have you by the balls if you want to keep your extended warranty- absolute scam frown

You guys need to upgrade to a Ferrari. My 812 had a service two weeks ago and it didn't cost a dime. While we were waiting both myself and my son were given a 45min test drive in a Portofino M each !. We were also fed all day on bacon/sausage baps in the morning and unlimited delicious Italian toasties the rest of the day.yes

In complete contrast my RS is now due its first service and I'm absolutely dreading what they'll charge for it. If we're lucky we'll get a cup of dodgy coffee each coffeeyuckvomit

Ferrari spoil you for life and Porsche rip you off for life. It balances out nicely in the end.biggrin
Taffy - you’ve got to be kidding - who do think is paying for those tasty treats and the service - there’s a reason an 812 costs what it does - Ferrari depreciation is eye watering - a new 812 will drop you £k100 in a matter of months and a couple of 1,000 miles - a used one will be far less of an issue but I bet you any Ferrari dealer will bid you at least £k35 less than they go onto sell it for - remember bacon baps aren’t for free smile
