Cayman G1 - cold sensitive??

Cayman '58: Garaged for last 10 days, wouldn't respond to unlock - tried other key, same response. Opened fine manually, all entry lights came on. I nervously commenced ignition and it started fine. Then a couple of minutes later I switched PCM on - no graphics.....about 2 minutes later the graphics very slowly faded into focus.

It hasn't been particularly cold yet so I'm a little concerned about what might happen if I leave it garaged for a proper long spell. Surely a german manufactored car shouldn't be this cold sensitive?

Excellent - that accounts for it.
And as a by product I have scoured the forum and learnt all about trackle charging and the horrendous price of new batteries!
