I've got a 981 S-PDK and drove an R-PDK about a year or so back. I'm not convinced there is that much difference tbh, but it was hardly a back-to-back test?
When I drove the R, I had a 997.1 GT3 so wasn't feeling the R as a raw, focused machine anyway, but I could tell it was a better road car (for me) than the GT3. Lack of leg room stopped me from getting the R, but that problem has gone with the 981.
In 3 months with the 981, I have matched the last years mileage in my GT3, so kind of backs up my decision process
