Watermarks under lacquer on new Cayman
Discussion
Hi all,
I picked up my new S at the beginning of the week and absolutely love it. Having done a few hundred miles in it, I decided to wash it. I immediately noticed on the rear bumper, by the number plate that there were some stubborn watermarks after drying it.
Tried to get rid of them with a detailer spray first, it did not shift, then tried some clay bar, still would not shift. It appears to be under the lacquer. As the car is black, seems very noticeable. Anyone had any experience of this?
Thanks G

So the wife dropped it into the dealers over the weekend, as I was out. They machine polished it, however still can see these little marks, especially in direct light.
Picture is not great, had to use flash - however you can sort of see the spots.
Luckily it appears to be isolated to only under the number plate area on the bumper. Not sure whether I should just live with it or go back to OPC.
