Hi everyone, new here.

So my Cayman is 2 years old and 20k, so needs first service and brake fluid. OPC is £480+£150 and my local specialist/indy is £250+£105. I'm leaning towards the Indy because it is round the corner to me, whereas Stratford OPC I will need to get the tube home/back, inconvenient.

Can anyone suggest a reason to go to one or the other? Will I lose too much value going Indy? I plan to keep the car for a while.

Thanks

Wes

Porsche warranty is only 2 year, correct??

Thanks guys, is it worth trying to negotiate any discount?(this is London remember)

Also do you think they will do a Sat Nav update(6 digit postcode) still for £150?

Unless you specifically refused the 3rd year of warranty cover (and Porsche assistance) when you bought the car, then you are covered for 3 years - it is technically optional as it appears as a separate item when you buy the car
Thanks, bit confusing about 2/3 warranty. Porsche website says 2 years? http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/po...

Either way I bought this car 2nd hand, about a year ago(Being a year old then). I've had a letter from Porsche saying my warranty is running out end of this month. Maybe the original owner opted out to save money.

I do less then 5k a year so don't think worth my while extending.

So Porsche East London got back to me with

Service £480
Brakes £150
Emissions £40
Air con £120
Sat Nav update £322.76

I did ask if Sat Nav was still £150, and he said, he had been informed today that it has gone up. Also I replied and asked politely for any discount and told not possible, but emission check can be done at next service, but the Air con should be done now.

Ouch, I know this is my first post and I'm coming off as a tight wad, but hey money is a bit tight.

It's booked into Hatfield on Wednesday, said they'll do the Sat Nav for £150, lady who called me was very helpful. Getting a courtesy car, hope it's not a VW lupo lol. Will let you all know how it goes.

Do you know if they will wash/valet as part of the service, or is that too hopeful. Needs a clean and should do it this weekend otherwise. Thanks
