Squeaky brakes offending my ears

I picked up my GT4 last Friday and annoyingly the brakes are really squeaky. They're the standard steel brakes which is what surprises me. The car was first registered 10 months ago and had only done 750mi is it possible that they have become contaminated or something to that description? I am going to take it in to my nearest service centre to get them to look at them but just wondered if any of you have had similar or any thoughts? I've done 200 miles in the car since collecting it and done some firm breaking from a decent speed to see if a bit of wear would fix it but no joy...

Empty road and really stand on it a couple of times. Pads will be slightly glazed

update: going in to OPC next week for a couple of other things so they're going to take a look at this then.
