This may be a daft question, but can someone advise why the 981 Cayman GTS has +10bhp over the Boxster GTS?

What’s the difference and can I bolt on 10 horses to mine?

Thanks folks.

I’ll have a search about although I figured being normally aspirated that a remap wasn’t going to deliver much, but you could be right.

There’s nothing mechanical then or on the air inlet side?

GTS obviously has the sports exhaust so it’s not that...

laugh a couple of weeks ago you said "but at the moment 330bhp is plenty" and you are wanting more power already? wink
And it is. I was looking to re-map the new company car and asked at the same time. Minimal gains for more cost I was told (not someone you want on you sales team!!) so I've not got much further.

It was c.£500 for 10bhp so will probably spend the same on super unleaded and track days..

Sort of contradicted yourself? If it is why look and if price is right you would smile
Perhaps, but I was interested to know initially why the difference and if it was a quick fix or not.

The car has plenty of go but more if it’s easily achieved is welcome. I wouldn’t really want to jeopardise any Porsche warranty for the sake of a relatively small gain.

Company car is a 3.0 V6 TDI so the gains are huge.

I’ve had 2 previous Audi TDI’s remapped and economy didn’t suffer unlike the tyre wear.

Very similar (except colour and leccy Seats) to mine and a very nice car indeed!

Steering wheel can be sorted relatively easily
My steering wheel and PDK lever are also leather - no idea why the Alcantara was changed..

Can it be recovered to Porsche standards or is it a change over item?
