981 Boxter 3.4S Spark Plugs and Brake fluid change?

I have a 2014 981 Boxter 'S', and it has covered 47,000 miles. It had a brake fluid change at 23,736 miles when it was eighteen months old. What is the cost of having the work done by a main dealer (3 miles from home) compared to a decent independent which would be around a sixty mile round trip.
Is there any benefit taking it to a main dealer, as the car is not under warranty? Any other advice please?

Did it miss its 20,000 oil service? Why did it have brake fluid change at 18 months, not 2 years? Has it had its 40,000 service?

No, it had a 20,000 mile service (23,736) at the same time the fluid was changed (first & previous owner), and then I had a 40,000 mile service at 38,512 again by an OPC, last May, because I was doing a 5000 mile European trip for four weeks, since doing that, I haven't used the car very much, but do intend doing another 5/6000 mile trip in it in September!

So you just need the time limited items i.e. plugs and brake fluid. If it has full OPC history I'd probably use the OPC for the minimal extra cost. If you're switching to an indy at your next service though you may as well use them now.

That is exactly my problem, the car has OPC history only, other than brake pads and tyres which I had fitted by the workshop that look after my daily! I have no intention of selling the car in the foreseeable future, having bought it specifically for long European road trips. There isn't a car that can fulfil that requirement as well or better than what I have. I love it!!

Basically, if the difference between an independent, and an OPC is only £100/£150, then the OPC it would be!
