I've just been to see and drive a 2005 Boxster 3.2S manual. It seems to be in lovely condition having had 2 previous owners. It drives great too. I'd love to buy it but I'm being frightened off by 2 things. One is the IM shaft bearing issue. Should this bother me on this car? And the other is the very high mileage of 148,000 miles. There is full OPC service history up to 2015. From then there is nothing. The service indicator is saying a service is due. The car also needs 2 new rear tyres. The vendor told me had bought the car from JTC600 in Leeds. They had it stood for 2 years before that after buying it from a deceased estate. It was apparently fully recommissioned for use before he bought it. I can buy the car for six thousand pounds. The question is should I? Head suggests one thing, heart another? What should I do? Any help would be most gratefully received. Thanks.....
