hi,

I have a new 718 Cayman and just wondering what your thoughts on this slight flaw in the edge of the roof around the top corner of the windscreen. I only noticed it when I was detailing the car today and drying the gap around the screen.

The car was bought brand new in October. I’d really prefer not to have to get any paintwork done. I’m more concerned about it rusting, but hopefully it won’t, as there is both paint and lacquer on it. I’ll take it down to the OPC next week, but I doubt they’ll want to touch it.

Anyone ever very had anything similar on their cars?

Thanks

It’s actully quite hard to spot. The camera zoom and it’s flash makes it look a lot more obvious than it is and it’s usually in shadow from the top of the windscreen. It was only due to me removing the remains of a dead fly in the top corner of the windscreen that I noticed it. Even then I had to get a torch to shine into it. Still pretty annoyed I didn’t see it at handover though. I went over every panel closely bar that channel between roof and screen, in the showroom.

Doesn’t help that I’ve only been able to do a 250 miles since I got it and it’s been tucked up in he garage for the last two months or I’d have probably noticed it sooner.

I’ll pop down to the OPC and see what they think. Apart from that, the car is awesome.
