Has anyone had a windscreen replaced with an OEM screen by a Porsche dealer? I'm looking to hear all experiences, good or bad, as I'm considering buying a new stock Cayman that requires a new screen and I'm not sure if it is something I should be concerned about or not.

I’ve had a number replaced at two different OPCs with both good and bad experiences. I understand that most or all OPCs sub the work out so you’d need feedback on the particular OPC/sub-contractor you’re planning to use.
Interesting. I'm told it would be Porsche trained technicians so assumed in house. Can you expand on what the issues were with the bad experiences please.

The OPC will more than likely be using a sub contractor for the work. In fact, I'm 99% certain they will.
You are correct. I've just called the service department at the dealer anonymously and they have confirmed it is sub contracted.

Is the sub contractor likely to be "Porsche trained" as I have been told the fitter would be?

Thanks all. I've decided to let this car go as alternatives are being proposed which will come without this issue.

Windscreen won't be replaced before I commit as it is not in stock and will take a few weeks to source. As there appear to be alternatives I may as well look at them to save potential aggro.
