Rumour from the same source - there is a possibility of a 25th Anniversary Boxster to celebrate the original 986 introduction in the original concept colour with circa 450bhp...

They may produce both f4 Gts and f6 Gts for different markets! I believe I read somewhere the f4 is popular in the Chinese market!

That I don’t know, I’ve relayed all the information I have - of course as a “rumour” it may not happen at all! All down to the profit Porsche anticipate making from it and it can’t have the stratospheric price of, say a 911 Speedster would.

992 will have its own special N/A engine when the GT3 comes out. I don’t see any advantage in redesigning the 4.0 litre engine for the 992 when unlike the Caysters the range already has fine (if turbocharged) engines.

However good the 718 GTS 4.0 is I don’t think it is worth twice the likely trade in allowance for our 981 GTS or sound as good, although infinitely better than the bucket of rusty bolts in the F4 GTS.

According to a post in the usually well informed German based Rennteam.com the current F4 718 GTS is no longer factory orderable in Germany and dealers are selling off their stock and demonstrators at increasingly discounted prices....
