just bought the car 2.7 981.

the pcm seems very basic. its version 12112964 but not sure what PCM version

however it's got no USB input and can not stream music from the bluetooth phone.

jesus I wrongly assumed it would have theses.

am I stuffed and just gave in to sticking with retro 3.5mm jack again

I have a Bluetooth plug in for the pcm that I would sell cheaply.

No need to spend that sort of money or open up the PCM if all you want to do is Bluetooth music.

Get one of these, plug into the aux port in the glove box, job done.

£25 all in after wires, 12v to USB adapters (it needs its own power) etc. Then stick your phone on a bog standard magnetic vent holder.

Works fine in my 2013 Cayman.

Does this work without dropping Bluetooth? Where did you get a 12v feed from on the car

There’s a 12v and 3.5mm aux in in the glove compartment. I’m assuming that’s standard as my car is poverty spec.

Doesn’t drop Bluetooth at all for me, works seemlessly. Occasionally (once a month?) I might have to reconnect my phone to the system in the phones Bluetooth menu, but that’s a 5 second job when setting off.
