What do you think?

25th anniversary edition. Based on the 4.0 GTS.

Personally not a fan of silver/gold combo (available in black or white also). Unique wheels and colour coding, but rest looks options special. I’m sure it will be collectible down the line.

The other release pics featured original 986 and I think it really has aged very well.

Prefer the gold (copper) with the black. Though later down the line, sticking with launch combo is usually better.

If you were about to go for a GTS anyway, this would seem to make sense.

I must be the only person that thinks it looks terrible. It'd only missing more chrome. leopard skin seat covers and window tints. Spinners optional
Love the wheels , not so keen on the gold vents.
I get the colour coding, but it is the side vent that jars the most for me.

Launch colour safest to go with long term rather than going with black or white or swapping interior to black.

I’d be tempted to order replacement side vents in silver and keep original ones boxed for later refitting if necessary.

The rest is okay. It seems a nice way to have something a bit more unique if getting a GTS anyway.

2014 911 50th Anniversary Special Edition with 17k miles is on sale for the same price as when it was brand new 6 years ago (Autotrader)
911 though innit, plus it looks very cool. Unlike the Boxster 25th...

It was rather nice. Came across one at Le Mans and the details looked lovely.

No you're not..

One good thing is it's limited edition so thank God there's not alot of chance of seeing them day to day.

Those wheels...hardly the statement that the 987 Spyder wheels were!
Anyone know what the wheel design references? Can’t find the 986 design link (and checked tequipment brochure).

That was my obvious thought, but these ones seem too triangular and straight lines to be a direct reference.

Just noticed this also. Neat touch, not seen that done before on the roof section.

The more I see it in the GT Silver and Gold, the more I like it. I’d go red interior also.

This is a new picture and it’s a different car from the one in California (or wherever it is they filmed the launch images and videos). Are there more. Agree the silver looks brilliant, especially in that light.

Nice to have that option L. Len. I wouldn’t want a car that’s had major surgery on it, but to start again with a new order if I didn’t have a backup like you would be heartbreaking.

Meanwhile, I’ve ordered another Boxster 25 which should be delivered in under 1 week from order:

Did you have to buy a 1:43 Minichamps Cayenne, Panamera and 911 before being able to put a deposit down?!

Very nice. There’s something satisfying having matching model car!

Another from Porsche Facebook.

I think the early 986 has dated really nicely, especially with ambers.

Me too. The red leather looks fabulous in the 25 edition on this picture.
Can’t wait to get mine Be lovely to have it for this summer
I bet!

Yeah, I think that spec combo pictured is the sweet spot for the Ed25.
