Well I like this new section as I reckon there is more to Porsche than 911's.
My little girl has won the Boxster championship this year but used to compete in a 924 and I was so amazed at how fast they are with a low power engine that I bought one. Here it is.
Please dont tell me its rusty under the sill covers!

I know f-all about 924/4's et al but that looks really nice.

Congrats to Rebecca, I know how hard she works.
Thanks for that, indeed she has some life force thats true!

I used to think 924,s were slow and understeered on account of years ago when I had a TR5 and blew one away..........that was before I saw Rebecca do Brands in 58sec in a 130 bhp 924, that made me see the potential.
When 944,s were new one blew my MGBGTV8 into the weeds so I had an incling the car was worthy.

Some of the pictures are stunning and I love the looks.
I love driving mine and hope to keep it for years.

Replica maybe but it looks terrific.

Before track days were so popular a friend would hire Goodwood and we would all put round what we had.
I had MGBGTV8 and a mate had a Tickford Capri 2.8, we lined up and a black one of these Carrera GT's joined in and pulled away so fast he was out of sight in no time, it could have been the Earl of March himself for all I know because he likes to get involved and I am talking about 1981 approx.

I foolishly thought that they might come down in price and I could own one...........a 911 Turbo is cheaper.

Obviously a replica: wrong windscreen!

Trackerjack, what is underneath those sill covers?
Looking through the vents there has been some welding done, however its very good quality and done well. I would not expect a car of this age to be perfect.
The covers have been on for some time and they do spoil the look but removing them will show worse.
Do you know the car and know something that I have missed?
I looked at many 944's and this one suited the best.
