Hi

I've always liked the look of these and fancy one to replace my Merc SL (R129)

The rear seats put me off though. We have a medium size dog, he goes everywhere with us, often a 5-6 hours in the car per day but sometimes a 7-8hrs day. The SL has a flat rear seat, enough space for him to lie on and get comfortable.

The Porsches rear bucket type seats just won't cut it. I suspect it's all about the transmission tunnel getting in the way. Anyone found a solution? Maybe a custom made seat pad that sits on top of the rear bench?

Thanks, that sounds like a plan. clap Do they split or fold as a bench? I would need to feed his harness through to plug it into a seatbelt socket.
I'd also need to be careful re luggage moving about, are there hooks to clip a luggage net to?

Looks promising. Dog and luggage space are just as important as the car. wink
At least I don't have to worry about children as well.

Nice photo. smile

All very tempting, but it's going to have to wait. I've been on an spending spree eek with my current MB SL.
Bodywork tidied up and hood repaired, new bushes/srms/ball joints/top mounts/shocks/brakes/flex discs/rad fan/wheels tyres and heaven knows what else.

An embarrassing amount of money spent, so going I'm going to try to keep the car for a few more years to get some value from it.

note to self next time I buy an old car make sure all the work has already been done

Mrs PR making noises re an additional dog so may need a more spacious waggon.

Shame, those two look a perfect size for each side of the rear seat!
The dog on the right is now twice the size!! Old photo he was only a pup.
