Porsche want £390 for a battery my indie wants £300 but a decent Yuasa at Halfords is £145 plus £15 fitting but can they fit it? Does it need coding etc 2007 4.8s Cayenne

Thanks chaps, I have a servicing Halfords auto centre near me, I’m going to try them first if not I’ll try and haggle with my indie who said no coding on a 957.

Update - Halfords autocentre (not a store) did it with a Yuasa battery at £145 + £15 and it took them 30 minutes (no loss of codes).

As its 11 years I had no appetite to spend £400 on a battery.

Did you watch them do it .... what a PITA job it is!
Had a coffee and played on my phone took 25 minutes inc winter check which was free.
Quite impressed to be honest.
If my 07 had Bluetooth and DAB I wouldn't be always looking elsewhere but I know if I paid a grand to get a new radio something would break elsewhere so I'll hang on to it for the next 6 months at least.

I just sent myself a PM and got it but nothing from a furry martial arts trained Mancunian. I am having a major issue with the car in that its a bloody good car that I do 8 miles a day in but I get bored easily and always look to change.

You can email me via the company email on my page though
