Just went mad and got a Macan Turbo PP - what a cracking drive it is with PASM & PDK. Its surprisingly lacking in luggage solutions though - especially to stop things flying forward with the seats down or if you roll it (unlike my BMW estate...) Also there are no dog guard options from Porsche ("Techquipment") or anything to protect the painted boot lip? I also note Travel All (who do a grey clip in dog guard that probably needs removing every time you put the seats down) don't do a boot divider to split dog from suitcases for this model which would have steered me towards them.

Any owners with furry friends got any tips pls?

Thx

Wow that's quite interesting - would contain all his hair too! Never had a dog shed like him... Hmmm...

Thanks Guys - its a lot of heavy duty (scratchy!) stuff out there which is overkill for me as the cage would need to come in and out several times a week - dependent on what the car is doing.

I've gone for that travelbag option kindly suggested - hopefully its possible to strap luggage in to the right of it so as it doesn't squash the bag on right handers? Have a long strap that we currently use in the estate car lashed through bag and case handles via the floor mounts but was hoping for a better solution - but none seem very easy.

I have a Dragon's Den type solution in mind already!

Got it! Its absolutely fabulous to drive - the dynamic and feel improvement I had so hoped for. Ohh but the whole load area is so poorly thought compared to my BMW estate (its its ONLY plus over the Porsche - well that and it will rip a CD to the HDD which Porsche thought the Macan wont do...?).

The hard parcel shelf is so impractical compared to the scroll out retractable one.
The dog bag is too tall and rubs the rear window elements so has to go back (its very big for a medium).

There is no partition or grille between the passenger and load spaces, and in particular nothing to stop luggage flying forward if the seats are down (or the car upside down).

Cant see anything on Porsche Tequipment site but I think I have found a Porsche luggage partition extra that will clip into the roof though (and clip in behind the front or rear seats too when seats are down) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU_Y6wc7JPk Does anyone have any experience of this. Also is there a friendly parts supplier somewhere with 10% off as per many other marques? smile

Other than that i'm absolutely loving the car and the reduced abject fear of road humps compared to the horribly bouncy and awful steering feel Beemer! I shan't mention the mpg mindeek

Well you can in a BMW and via any other optical drive device you may own! So its absolute porky pies BS!

Absolute hassle - seems to want me to rip to an SD card using a home PC's optical drive and then walk to the car and ingest from the SD?

I have a few albums on the phone (via Amazon Auto-rip) but still like to have bought music on CD's as its then so easy to load into current car's HDD or CD player frown
