I saw that earlier and think it looks great, at 33k is that good value or overpriced in people's opinion.
Depends what you're looking for. If you want a viper green car which is backdated and has an RS look (and it checks out on inspection) then it would probably be a good buy. If you want a nice SC it's expensive.

Neither fish nor fowl so all overpriced.
You can choose from any number of proper factory models for the figures listed above.
True, but the OP shows you can also have something more interesting and bespoke.
I'd say these are all individual cars. I spot them whenever they come up for sale as they are different and interesting. If you wanted to create one then this might be a more cost effective way of doing it than starting with a standard car.

Some people see the journey of creating their individual car as part of the experience, others would just love to own something individual that's been created to a high standard.

This is an interesting modified 1979 SC!

Looks fantastic and a lot of work has gone into creating it.

Two of the 3 cars I originally posted on 8th December are still on sale at the sale price. Original cars do seem to sell quicker and often modified cars are hard to value!

Nice modified 964 RS recreation in Maritime Blue at JZ Machtech.

The price seems steep at £54,900 considering the mint car (2nd pic) was on for £42,900.

Looks lovely but £80k is too much for me.

If it was around the £45-£55k mark I would be interested.
Agree. In addition to your lovely GT3 I presume?

Agree it's mental money (discussed here) but it's still an interesting modified 911.

When it went to HK, including import taxes it would have cost over £150k....

At those prices, it would be a no...

As great as the re-creations / resto-mods are, and I'm a big fan, they don't make sense to me at these prices, unless you're the one speccing the car.

Having said that, it is a fab little thing, sensory overload on every journey and one I won't forget.
Lovely car. Read the write up on it and was tempted when it was last up for sale but prices of these now are crazy.

A lot of these builds are obviously done by those who have a fair amount of disposable income as they probably like the idea of their own personalised car.

But they're probably thw same people who get tired of their current Ferrari or 911 GT3 and move on to the next car that takes their eye.

Anyone who's modified a car will know they're unlikely to get their money back. These are just on a grander scale.

On the flip side, there are one or two cars I keep an eye out for an their owners are obviously holding on to them.
