You know the ones I mean ... whingers whinging about whingers whinging about the noise the 4 pot 718 Coxster makes, this to name but one of them rolleyes

So get yourself a brew (or better still, a glass of something alcohol based) pull up a pew and luxuriate in this gem of a thread :

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Caveat : There's no mention of values, no mind-numbing hand wringing over deciding build specs, no mention of overs, letters of intent, nor any "my car's considerably faster/sounds better than yours" posturing, no slating of beards or air cooled "dinosaurs". Just a wonderfully unassuming individual and a genuine enthusiast documenting how he enjoys driving and maintaining his delightful car (and probably worthy of a Petrolicious video of its own) :

Enjoy smile

Kudos indeed ! But will you get a 30 page thread out of it though... smile I guess we will have to see.
Remember the old adage, it's quality, not quantity that counts ....

For those of you interested, here's another absolute gem of a resto thread. As with the originally linked to thread, this one is "ongoing" too.

Luxuriate in a man in his shed doing stuff with his 911 and sheet metal that most wouldn't be able to master in a lifetime of trying.

As per the other thread I linked to previously, no talk of values, no I'm a faster/more talented driver than you, no lording it up over those with a lesser car, no what spec should I order ? no my car's noisier/faster/better than yours type BS, nor any must keep it original or it'll impact on its desirability/value nonsense. Just an incredibly talented genuine enthusiast working on his aircooled 911 whilst also keeping his wife and family happy.

The guy has a wonderfully gentle sense of humour, and self deprecating doesn't even start to describe him and his talents (but as we've come to see on this forum all too often "empty vessels make the most noise" ....) rolleyes

https://personalexcellence.co/blog/empty-vessels/

Anyway, here's the link :

And for the more myopic of you (my eyesight's pretty hopeless these days) banghead
I'd suggest increasing the font/site size on your browser by whatever means you're able) smile

And a quick word of caution, page 7 appears to be dodgy, so either skip it, or if you're an IT geek, establish if it IS dodgy and let the rest of know to circumvent its dodginess

Thanks and enjoy.
