G-model love.

I can't help but pick the G-model to be my favorite range of Porsche. It might not be the most spectacular but for me all elements come together in a 930, 2.7, 3.0 or 3.2 SC. Please drop your G of choice and make this a pretty topic. Thx!

Gorgeous stuff. Please keep them coming!

Autumn 2018 I fell for this SC Outlaw with a 964 engine in. The original US car came from a river and was picked up for grabs. Young mechanic totally stripped it, restored and upgraded to this sleeper. Quick!

The photosession was complete with a black 3 litreTarga and a Talbot Yellow Japanese SC which in my eyes stole the show.

A little write up about the 915: https://philipraby.co.uk/the-joys-of-a-porsche-911...

Watch 'the old guys' drive a racing car or a classic Ferrari/whatever and see how relaxed they shift gears. I always shift 'across the middle' (neutral) before selection when I need to cross 2-3 and 4 to 5 and vice versa. Apart from post 70s Jap boxes - which you can really slam through the gears - this works a treat and is quick enough when you know what you want to do.

I never had any problem with a 915 and I am particulary fond of the 4-speed in the 930. A G50 feels more normal... Still an epic box though. In our modern days I wish AMG (I love the V6 43) used Porsche boxes...

Hahaha!

915: I love to slow shift when driving at a decent pace. OT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTJIQ6VyPoM - check how easy and relaxed these guys shift. That is cooler than cool.

The bumper gives it away but you catch my drift.

Cheating a bit:

1976 Porsche 930: imo the perfect allrounder daily practical classic. Except for the mpg...

This interior is perfect and so far away from period Italian luxury supercars.
