I so want to do this, and have it painted dark green, or blood-orange.... how difficult can it be?

(Rhetorical question, I have read about it already)

Thanks for comments - I've really gone off the above 'dark green' by the way.

Obviously the original concept of the targa is the opentoppness of a cab, but without the faf of the soft-top, and I really don't like the fact that the 993 cab looks like a pram with it 'down'.

IMO the 993 Targa is all wrong - it's just a big sunroof and you have extra weight high-up - and obviously Porsche have gone back to the simpler targa in recent years.

I suppose the easy way to do it, is to buy a 964 Targa and a 993 cab, and swop all the bits over, and sell the 964 cab.

Sounds easy.

PH collective shouts Just buy a 964 Targa.... I know, but I much prefer the 993 as a car... and what a project, and you could get silly and make it a WB in Blood Orange or Mexico Blue or....

Sure, why not...
I didn't say I'd had an original idea hehe - for example that top photo is of a RHD car for sale. But it's a tip.

That Riviera blue one is a bit odd - a half-to-WB conversion as well. But the colour and targaness are exactly what I am thinking.

,,,,yeah I've read about that as well - sounds even more difficult with the changes to the doors and dash.

And I'll be a minority, but the hump is a bit too Quasimodo for me....

I thought they were all the same proportions?

Doesn't do it for me - it does look better with the top up though hehe
