Cost of Mobil 1 oil and Servicing

Hi to all you Porsche Classic People this is my first post.

So I put the 993 into the OPD last week and received quite a shock for the small service plus the pollen filters. Historically the cost on the job sheet has always been around £7 or £7.25p per litre for a litre of 5w/50. I always used to get the Porsche embossed pouch with a mobil zipper containing 1 Litre of Mobil 1. and a dip stick wipe.
This year the oil has been switched to 10w/60 and £14.70p per litre and no pouch. I know there was a shutdown of the manufacturing plant in Rotterdam from 2016 for the all new hydrocracker (Mobil 1) but that was in the name of efficiency. I was posting to know what everyone else's experience has been over OPD costs or Indie costs.
Can anyone explain why there has been a switch to 10w/60? when for the last 12 years it has been 5w/50

I suspected Porsche would never give the technically correct account if asked the question. I would be listening to the commercial and marketing point of view. So its back to 5w/50 next year.
