Considering my first Ferrari later this year, either a 360 Spider (manual) or really pushing the boat out and going for an F430 spider (manual again).
Having had a number of Porsches and TVR's over the last 10 years, I have never had a bad reaction from the public, quite the opposite with the TVR's. Usually get variuos positive reactions from thimbs up, to drivers winding down the windows to hear the speed six bellow as I pass them.

Reading various posts on this and other forums, it seems that many owners get bad reactions from the public, wker signs etc. This is starting to make me question my decision to go down the Ferrari route.

How bad is it? I would like to get a feel for the real world situation. So do you always get a bad reaction? or maybe once in a while? or have you never had one?
Or maybe you get positive reactions....please share your experiences.

Sorry but i'm trying to cover two issues here. My second question is about depreciation. I'm looking at 360's in the 40 - 50K price band or 430's upto maybe 72K
What are your thoughts on relative depreciation of those two over 3 to 5 years?

Cheers

the public
I assume you are part of "the public" so you probably just mean "other people"?

At a show you might be an exhibitor looking for reactions from "the public" but if you're just driving around it sounds a bit condescending to me to refer to other people as such.
Just the wrong choice of words on my part....Not meant to sound derogatory, sorry if it did.

Thanks for all the replies so far, Just what I was hoping for.
