Taking a 2007 soft top as an example, the typical price for a 20k miles seems to be about 90k. Talking dealers here, what would you offer and expect to be accepted price wise?

Not sure that I would describe the F1 transmission of the 430 as a proper gearbox any more than an old fashioned manual.

But no one has told me how much to offer against an asking price so even if I was an american I couldnt do the math.

But, don't get me started on traffic...
Quite! I live in a country area with lots of nice bendy B roads. Or at least they would be nice if it werent for the clusters of cars trundling along them. Once you get three cars line astern with no real gap in between, it wouldnt matter if you were in a laFerrari, you still wouldnt get past. So I end up using the bike all the time if I dont have to carry a lot of stuff.

Makes you wonder about buying any really nice car like a 430. And when I think back to my student days - no speed limits, no motorways, do breathaliser and above all, no traffic. Didnt realise what we had.

Jeez Bordseye, you must be knocking on a bit!!!

From what I understand the 30mph speed limit was introduced in 1930, if these were your student days, then you must be well in excess of 100 years old!!!

Maybe you should be thinking more mobility scooter than F430 smile
biggrinbiggrin Getting on a bit but not mobility scooter yet. Mind you one reason for getting a 430 is that I am having difficulty getting in and out of my Lotus.

I was of course referring to the glorious days when de-restricted meant de-restricted and not 70/60.

Incidentally if there is anyone on here looking to sell a good 430 I'd be interested in a private deal splitting the dealers mark up. As long as the car isnt a funereal black that it.
