Has anyone managed to get a device where you can connect to the ipod connector and stream via bluetooth?

This little gadget was great but they no longer make them and I can't find one anywhere in the UK...Gutted as had one that I gave away with my DB9 and it worked flawlessly!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViseeO-Tune2air-WMA1000-c...

I bought this and connected it today with no issues however even though the car shows the Ipod option I can't select it frown

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K29K4DC/ref=pe_3857...

Anyone else managed to find something? Planning a trip across Europe with SWMBO and this would make life a bit easier as she can control what she wants to listen to smile

I think you can use any number of the cheap FM modulator/ bluetooth units but the sound reproduction is not brilliant, I use one for my iPad sat nav and it works OK for that.

It's frustrating that bluetooth streaming isn't enabled yet it is on the Speciale and California which has the same basic system, might be worth talking to a dealer or similar with an SD3 to see if it could be activated?
I did ask my dealer and they were clueless rolleyes

I did see that but i don't think it will work as it's very specific to the car's mentioned (Audi, VW and Mercedes). Could give it a try I guess as free returns. I'll order one and see how it goes.

I would really like to know the answer to this one. By the way, there seem to be heaps of the ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 unit mentioned above on eBay. Did that really work? If so I am definitely ordering one.
I can only see two (used) being sold by UK sellers. All the rest seem to be in the USA?

Ok it's here and connected and is bloody great! Works straight out of the box and streaming Tunein Radio (DAB), Spotify/Amazon Music and iphone music without any issues. In fact the sound quality seems better than my music I saved to the hard drive of the car! Great bit of kit smile

Hi,does the Bluetooth adaptor fit the old iPhone type plug connector in the glovebox
Yes, it plugs straight in to the old type iphone plug connector. They stopped making these now which is why I had to find one in the USA and order it here as it's apparently the only reliable solution for bluetooth streaming in the 458. The amazon link in my first post is now back alive and there seems to be stock available in the UK. It cost me £90 from the US!

You're welcome chaps - enjoy smile

I also had one of these fitted my car and it's the best thing ever!

http://forzacomponenti.com/exhaust_controller_b.ht...

I now have three options 1) Exhaust Valves always open 2) Valves as standard open when you step on it 3) valves always closed for track use with sound restrictions.

A small remote in the car allows you to open and close valves at will and the car now sounds bloody amazing when the valves are open with a nice burble on the over run! I came out of a Maserati GTS MC shift and really missed the exhaust sound of my old car but now this is all sorted hehe

The car now sounds as a Ferrari should smile

Just wanted to add - the phone must be paired with the gadget and not the car to stream music. The system gets a bit confused if you pair to both the car and the gadget so when I want music I don't pair my phone to the car and when I want the phone on BT I don't pair the phone to the gadget - hope this makes sense!

Wait - so you can't have both phone and music streaming?

Which means that you have to have two devices in the cabin, like an iPod bluetoothed to the device and a phone bluetoothed to the car to have both?

And a mannetino and the 458 $hit windscreen wiper controls?

A recipe for a fireball.

Must think this one through again.
That's how it is on my car. I can pair the phone to the car and the device however if I make or receive a call then the device needs to be manually reconnected via settings/bluetooth via the phone. There are however reports on the US forums that people have managed to have both functions work together and there are also some who have been unable to make the device work at all! I think it depends on model/year of car and the firmware of the infotainment systems on the car.

@ 458Man. Thanks, superb. Arrived today and worked first time and the phone connection to the Fez still works too. Perfect.
You are most welcome! I unpaired my phone to the car and paired it again! It now works just like it should with both the gadget and car!

Finally reunited with 458 and after a suitable nailing her with 5/5 for a bit (what is that - think led's) I tried the gadget - variable but generally super. Connect device, connect by Bluetooth and you have phone and Spotify steaming - with steering wheel controls working. And since I have the factory JBL upgrade, it's awesome. Cool and brilliant and - with wife in car button pressed, when you want music and don't need to concentrate to avoid dying - awesome. Thank you to the poster above who suggested it.

Small niggle? Sometimes the screen doesn't give you a song name but hey, that's like a pimple on Angelina Jolie.

Mine needs to be unplugged at times but since I have had it probably only 3-4 times at max. Other than that it's been brilliant and does what it is meant to.

I am using it with an Iphone 6.

Guys just bumping this to confirm which model of viseeo works?

Amazon have a 3000A listed at £66

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViseeO-Tune2Air-WMA3000A-...

And a 1000A listed at £179

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViseeO-Tune2air-WMA1000--...

Now I know this is a stupid question since the obvious answer is "its a ferrari, so it must be the more expensive one", but the description for both says audi/VW/mercedes and they look like exactly the same unit.

Can anyone confirm which works?
The second one. Surprised to see it's appreciated just like a Ferrari too hehe ! Order it from the USA via ebay it is much cheaper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ViseeO-Tune2air-Wireless...
