After my 360 manual coupe alarm siren decided to chirp even though it was not switched on I inspected it to discover that it had been opened by the prevoius owner and had a non orginal battery soldered inside .This must have been successful as it had not given probelms over a 2 year period . My question is that on unpluging the siren box the car could be started and driven could this cause probelms with the electrial system ? Also the main agent stocks the replacement on the original part number but the well know stockist has this part under a revised part number which has been updated three times from the offical part number .

was only giving the info as a manual ( ive no axe to grind on the F1 v,s manual debates ) as I was not sure they shared the same wiring circuits , the siren box inside has a printed board also the plug in loom has many pin wires which seems to be more that just a siren ? the remote fob operates the centre locking and the indo flashers would the dash check on start-up confuse the ECU,s ?
