I have had my F430 for 2 1/2 years now, put on just over 10,000 miles, done numerous track days, a trip to Wales, and of course plenty weekend blasts. Even used it as a daily for 2 months. I've had to fix various bits and bobs - rattling tail light, wheel bearing, F1 pump, ball joints, but luckily nothing too serious or costly. I love the car, to me it's a great blend of old and new school and at the same time not too complicated to prevent me from doing many of these jobs myself.

This, and voicey's brilliant Market Watch thread, got me thinking that there must be plenty 430 owners with similar experiences out there and while PH is great we could probably find a lot to talk about over a full english and coffee. I'm in south Bucks but I'd be happy to travel an hour or so to meet up for a early(ish) weekend breakfast with other 430 owners. Without wanting to exclude other cars I do think it will be pretty cool to see a number of 430's lined up - plus, as mentioned in the Market Watch thread, you don't get to see that many on the roads nowadays.

Anyone up for it? Even if we start small and build up/travel further I think it should be a great excuse to get out early before the family wakes (!?) and be back in time to kick them out of bed. I have teenagers so your reality may be different of course!

Great response - nice! Absolutely Mark - 430's of all type. The reason behind the 430 targeting was just to give us owners a chance to swap stories re maintenance, parts, deals, mods, etc.

So it's always going to be difficult to get one venue/date that suits everyone but I figured ideally we will do this more than once and so perhaps the best way of doing this is to move about the counties thus giving everyone a chance to 'host'. The idea will be to meet up at a spot that can accommodate our cars and perhaps reserve a table or two. Maybe even suggest an arrival route that you might drive occasionally when 'going out to buy milk' on a weekend.

Or people just post as and when they get the chance and whoever can make make it goes along.

Anyway, probably to much detail already. So without wishing to exclude anyone I'm going to go first and offer a date and venue. Chuffing difficult to figure out where to aim for but I did come across this site (http://www.whatshalfway.com) which pretty much said have it at my place. So I went for somewhere in the area that serves a good breakfast and has off street parking. The Nags Head (The Nags Head • London Road • Great Missenden • Buckinghamshire • HP16 0DG • Tel: 01494 862200 • http://www.nagsheadbucks.com) fits the bill and there are some cracking roads in the area. Just don't use Nags Head Lane coming in as it is really narrow. From the south come off the M40 at Beaconsfield and follow the A413, from the north the B4011 from Bicester to Long Crendon is a cracker.

So I'm thinking this weekend is short notice (and the weather looks ste) so what about Sunday 14th May? Breakfast starts at 8am but that may be a bit early - on the other hand it does mean empty(ish) roads and being back home earlier in the day. 8.30 am too early?

So Sunday 14th May 8.30am at the Nags Head in Great Missenden. We'll figure the rest out from there. Does that work?

OK - 14th it is then. Apologies to those who won't be able to make it, hopefully we'll do a few of these and move them about a bit. So 8.30am breakfast on Sunday 14th May at The Nags Head in Great Missenden. (The Nags Head • London Road • Great Missenden • Buckinghamshire • HP16 0DG • Tel: 01494 862200 • http://www.nagsheadbucks.com) I've edited my original proposal on page 1.

Excellent, that's five 430s so far. I am going to ask them to hold a section of the parking for us - they will look great lined up under the trees. I can't see table space being an issue for us at that time, especially if it's nice and we can sit outside. Nags Head is a really beautiful spot and featured in the film Fantastic Mr Fox, a recreation of Roald Dahls children's book. Dahl lived and wrote in Great Missenden and there is a Roald Dahl museum in the village for those interested. C'mon the rest of you, who else is in?

Do you know if they allow dogs?
No issue with dogs out in the garden - inside...not sure but I doubt it. I will ask them though.

Great idea but that location is North London to me, I live in Cheshire, anywhere more UK central then yes I'd love to join you all, had my F430 spider just over 2 years, had my fair share of issues but love the thing regardless.
I know this is a little left of field but can someone setup an F430 fan club FaceBook page? they have a very active one for the F355, that way we can all converse freely and share information.
Ye sorry about that but I think we're going to have to move them about a bit to accommodate everyone. I'd be happy to head north one weekend - I understand the Peak District has some good roads.

Took the scenic route to Manchester this afternoon - via the Cotswolds! Damn but there are some great roads around there, anyone been to The Plough Inn in Ford village? Beautiful spot for a breakfast meet - just sayin'..

Anyway, have checked with The Nags Head in Great Missenden and all is good for this Sunday at 8.30am. Hoping to put a few faces to names.

I'm in the middle of fitting a big brake kit but give me a couple weeks and I'd be up for a trip north.
