Hi all,
So with all my previous super cars i have always upheld the view of OEM is always the way forward. I have never modded any of my cars in the slightest, but - with my new 458 - i love the sound of the exhaust so much that i just need more of it - can anyone recommend the best after market exhaust for the 458 (i know there are many) that does not alter the sound of the exhaust note but just makes it louder - i would also love some extra pops and bangs engineered in as well....

any thoughts would be much appreciated.

cheers & merry Xmas.

Graypauls certainly don’t have an issue with it as they fitted mine a month ago.
hey mate - i have decided that i also want to opt for one of these for my 458 instead of getting a full blown new exhaust. Can you let me know where you ordered your controller from?

Are you happy with the results? really excited for this! i love the sound of my 458 in race mode - so more of this in the other drive modes in low revs is something i cant wait for.

cheers

How much did you pay for it with the postage if you don't mind me asking?

thanks.

So I still haven't pushed the button on this valve controller mod, I just did a lovely long weekend around wales, some of the best roads right on our door step, in a couple of weeks another big road trip across Europe, so I am really tempted to go for this mod, the question I have is, does it ever cause an engine warning light to show up, given the valves will be open when they are not technically supposed to be. Also, if something went wrong with the car, can warranty use this mod as an excuse not to pay up?

I really want to get this valve controller for my 458, but just have these things in the back of my mind.

i am very close to SB and know the guys well. I actually called them up to see if they could fit it before my trip, so hopefully they will be able to. They are seeing if they can get the capristo valve controller into stock in time. fingers crossed.

so the forza controller is $350 + $60 to ship to the UK vs. the capristo option which is £350. SB charge £130 to fit either, but they can order the capristo in themselves - they said that they are both as good as each other, but the capristo box is much smaller - i'm thinking just go for the capristo to make life easier... what are peoples thoughts?

this is very interesting, i was aware that there was an extension cable that was possible to purchase for an extra $25 for the forza unit. I will check with SB regarding the location of the capristo box and the ability to have the valves open on start up.... would be a real shame if they do not do this.
