My first Ferrari - what are the must-have options?
Discussion
It will be time to spec my F8 in the next weeks, and having never owned a Ferrari, I am keen for some guidance on MUST-HAVE options from both an experience and residuals purpose. I'll take what I learn on here as gospel, as I'm sure the dealer will be happy for me to be spenny...
I'm not a particularly 'racey' driver and wont be taking the car on track so I know that the racing seats aren't for me. What I do like are the carbon fibre steering wheel with LED's and the passenger display.
Finally, I am looking for two tone with a black roof. Instead of paying Ferrari the best part of £7k for two tone, and another £5k for paint protection film on the bumpers, what are your thoughts on me taking the car straight to a wrap//vinyl specialist instead?
Thank you

Thanks all. Any thoughts on the above?Thank you
Thank you for all your input. I had a great time at the dealership and below is the spec I went for! Having read the majority of your replies after I visited the dealer, I may remove the CF from the exterior as I only went for a few bits - this will save £6k. I went all out on the CF interior though .
Decided not to go for a front suspension lift as I have never needed one before (with my Mclaren 12C or 911 Turbo). Oh, and the Ross Portofino red looks stunning!

I agree it’s a stunning colour but Ferrari offer a number of colours that are very similar and I personally couldn’t stand three years, or however long you plan to keep the car, being asked why I’d put a Portofino colour on an F8. However it is of course up to you.
Personally I prefer a deeper red to the standard Rosso Corsa and Scuderia, and the only other red that I liked was an £18,000 triple layer which I can't justify. I don't think Ferrari would offer Rosso Portofino if it was controversial - It's clearly been a success for them. Ultimately it's all down to how it looks on the car, not the name! Happy for other opinions though.Edited by controlz on Monday 16th December 17:32
