I pick this up tomorrow ...

My first Ferrari after many years of Porsche ownership.

After thinking about going V12 with either an FF or 599 HGTE, test drove a 458 and never looked back. Can't wait bounce today is going to be a loooong day !

Congratulations.

There's something about viewing an powerful engine through glass. Do Ferrari's have engine bay lights a la R8's which illuminate the engine bay when dark?
Don't think so - believe that's the domain of a McLaren 720S !

If the test drives were anything to go by, I'm sure I will.

What a coincidence as i bought my first Ferrari 14 months ago..I'm a Porsche guy at heart and still own three including a .2GT3 RS WP but Ferraris have a mystique about then no other car maker can hope to match.
I was also initially on the lockout for an FF or 599 but finally settled on a GS 458..What an amazing car and like you no regrets on my decision.
I've still keeping the faith with Porsche and have got 2 911's (although nothing as glamorous as a 991.2 GT3 RS WP - just a cooking 991.1 GTS and a 1990 C4 Cab).

congratulations on the car!
take it on a track day to fully experience what it can do
I’ll probably do a day at Bedford in the summer - took the 991 there last year and had a great time (and went through 2 tanks of fuel !).

We'll see, the 991 went round OK with the PSE switched on, so the 458 should be OK. You just need to pay attention to where the microphones are ...

That looks great - love the red carpet
What happened to that poor (I want to say) i8 in the background - that colour ...
Yes, having the red contrast carpet with the Nero carbon seats was one of the things I was looking for when I was buying a 458. As for the i8 in the background, that is someone's idea of tasteful ... a rose gold chrome wrap confused
