Verde Zeltweg 360 on PH

Hi all,

Does anybody know this car? It appears to have been for sale for an age. I assume down to colour combo which is an acquired taste but I happen to love, particularly as it would match our QP. Anyone who knows the car, or has perhaps viewed? It’s 8 hour round trip from me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks all for the responses. Though the car is my ideal spec, there are a few issues I have with the way it is marketed. As someone above states, the car has done nearer 44k miles than 42, a year's mileage. The photos are poor, dirty carpets etc. Over 3 years on sale. It doesn't fill me with confidence. We have discussed price and I can get it down to a price I'd be comfortable at, but there's just something about the vendor that doesn't sit right with me.

I have spoken with Nick Cartwright specialist cars this morning about a TDF F430 they have available and have arranged to view on Thursday. I just need to determine which car I prefer, I'm hoping to look at one of their manual 360s while I'm there. I don't think I'd be interested in an F1 360, based on budget its either manual 360 or F430 F1.

It’s not totally out of the question that I may still purchase the car, it would certainly be a keeper but I can’t be blinded by the romance of the colour combination. The vendor needs to understand that when someone is offering him 64k after over 3 years on the market, it’s a good shout.

Nick had a 360 Spyder in Verde Zeltweg around a year ago and sold it almost immediately ,remember because the one you mentioned

on here was for sale at the same time,you could have had a matching pair.

Like you i was looking for a manual 360, thought i bought one but the seller had a change of heart about selling so ended up with a

Nero Daytona F430 ,would have preffered a manual but at the time the prices between them was £20/£30 ,think the gap now is considerably less.

I remember the car, it was even more desirable with the electric Daytonas, green dash and steering wheel. I should have been quicker off the mark with that one, but then I wasn't actively looking at that stage.

Are you sure you don't want a Aston or Bentley ,if you miss a green one like bus's there be another one along in a minute.

Briefly considered a DB9 but decided they didn't get my heart racing enough to warrant changing.

Yep, having owned a F355 Spyder and a DB9 Volante only the Italian machine got me excited.

BTW that TDF 430 Nick is selling looks fab and quite possibly the best pick out of 360s and 430s currently for sale. Maybe priced to sell rather than stuck in stock over the winter.

It does look good value and well presented. The gearbox still concerns me though, I’m hoping the car blows my socks off. I can’t get the Verde 360 out of my head!

As a newcomer then, why are these cars, which seem super desirable at first glance, hanging around so long? I expected with the Ferrari brand you’d have a queue of people wanting to buy a genuine car.

Surely it’d be better to see it and / or have it inspected before expecting the vendor to take an offer seriously?

I’ve not seen or inspected any of the cars I’ve purchased in the last 7 or 8 years. If I get burned then it’s my own fault, so far it has served me well but probably more luck than judgment. If somebody is offering you a deposit there and then, you take the offer seriously.

Thank you, it is made slightly bittersweet by the fact the Morgan has to make way. But then we can always buy another in the future.

Noticed Nick has just re-advertised the TDF F430 and reduced it a staggering £10k, Is there a problem with it
or did you end up with the 360 after all.

Hi, it hasn’t been reduced from the price I originally saw it at, and the deal is still going ahead. We are just waiting on the final bits of prep to be finished. Ben sent me a teaser shot of his progress yesterday.

FWIW, I viewed this car in June 2017. Long before its respray. It felt tired.

I wasn't actually there to look at it, I was there to look at an Aston. The Aston looked lovely but absolutely STANK of cigarettes and the guy didn't seem very bothered. I was also interested in a Noble they had, but that was incredibly rough.

Despite the cigarette smell I arranged to come back the following weekend to drive the Aston. I turned up at the agreed time and nobody was there. It's just a barn on a farm next to the A3. No answer on their phone. Bloke eventually turns up about half an hour late by which time I needed to leave because I had other commitments.

So no idea if the 360 in question is any good, but it probably looks nice now it's been resprayed.

I ended up buying an Aston from Clinkard in Romsey, and they were fab. Still got it, and it's a keeper. But I'd like to add a 360 to the fold at some point...

Yes, that’s pretty much the same experience I had with the seller. We had discussed the car a couple of days prior to my bid to buy unseen of 64k. His attitude left a lot to be desired from the first conversation. I spoke with him one Sunday early evening for his views on my offer and he was exceedingly rude. I didn’t speak with him again.

All’s well that ends well though. I am extremely impressed with how the sale of the 430 has been handled so far. Nick and Ben have been polite and accommodating, no airs and graces, just two genuine Ferrari enthusiasts. Yes the car is not a manual, like I’d hoped my first Ferrari would be, but I can live with that.

No wonder you are buying the 430 instead of the 360 at that price,The car was in the 80's when Nick first advertised it then reduced it £79k,
Must admit to not seeing it at the reduced price of £69k, Lucky you waited for a while longer, sounds like you have had a result and
buying it from proper people as well.

I was in the same position as you ,looking for a manual 360 as i didn't won't F1 after being let down on a high spec in the exact colour i wanted 360 manual every thing else i looked at missed the boat, So dug a bit deeper and ended up with a F430 as well, at the time a manual
low mileage 430 was some £20/£30k more.

To be honest i don't get on with it that well think it's me not the car as my son drives it fine. Wish i had waited as i could now get a manual for what i paid but that was 2 1/2 years ago .

Car should be with me today or tomorrow, though I don't think it will be getting any use in this weather. I'm expecting the car to be a much sharper, more engaging, harder version of my old and much missed 4200 Cambiocorsa... I guess at five times the price, it should be! As ever, I don't drive them until they arrive.

The car arrived today, everything I'd hoped it would be. Beautifully presented thanks to the efforts of Ben and everyone else at Nick Cartwright. The sun has been out today and even the roads dried up a little so I did take the car out for 20 minutes this evening, and what an experience. It feels truly special, and I can most certainly live with that gearbox.
