599 rear quarter lights crazing

The perspex rear quarter lights on my Ferrari 599 GTB have started to "craze", one worse than the other. I have been quoted an outrageous sum of money to have them replaced (in excess of £2,000 for two little bits of perspex). Has anyone else experienced this problem, does anyone know what causes it and does anyone know of a 599 being broken for spares from which I might purchase the quarter lights? Thanks.

mat430 - thanks. Had a look at eurospares and the windows are £523 each (not sure whether includes VAT) so dealer suggesting £2k plus maybe a little on the high side.
Montpellier - thanks for the info. "Splitting" is a better description of what is happening rather than "crazing" which I used. I shall have a pop at Ferrari N.E. to see whether they will shoulder some of the cost if it is a known fault.

Cracking is a better description than crazing. I have to email my dealer some pics which I will take if it ever stops raining and I shall put them up here then.

This is a photo of the O/S perspex quarterlight showing 4 cracks, all about an inch long. They have just suddenly appeared. The N/S window has some too, but not as bad.
