612 fault code

Now, I don't have a 612, but.my brother in law does. But I do have an OBD fault code reader and he doesn't.

Been having issues with it recently involving a well know specialist. An engine light has appeared (again) when it was supposed to be cured.

Question is, can I plug my simple reader in to read what fault is indicated.......or will Ibugger the whole thing up?

Oh, and where is the port?

It'll be nice if I can help him out before he goes back all guns blazing. He is, after all, a powerfully built international lawyer.

I did read somewhere that Ferrari use a different connect it with 3 pi s. Perhaps that's on different models.

I have no intention of clearing the codes. We want the garage to see them but having a little pre knowledge is an advantage.

I shall let you know what transpires.
